Thanh Ha Terracotta Park: Experience The Wonders Of The World In One Place

The central province of Quang Nam is often frequented by tourists, local and foreign alike, because of its historical treasures such as the ancient town of Hoi An, My Son Sanctuary and the ancient pottery village of Thanh Ha. But today, there’s another reason to visit the place, the Thanh Ha Terracotta Park, home of many wonders of the world.

Thanh Ha Terracotta Park was launched just this April 2016 as a joint project by the People’s Committee of Hoi An City and Nha Viet Corp. It took four years to build the place with a construction cost of $1 million, mostly from investments. The main concept of the park is like a museum where different kinds of art are displayed in one place, like pottery and craft products. It is also meant to be a place where the artists themselves can come together and think of more creative ways to better improve their work.

Thanh Ha Terracotta Park is designed with five areas containing some of the wonders of the world. One area is composed of a museum of pottery products and artifacts. Another is an exhibition area of miniature World Heritage sites in Vietnam such as the Hue Imperial Citadel, My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An. Replicas of the Champs Elysees, the pyramid, the Colosseum and the Parthenon Temple are also constructed at the park, a delight to any lover of history and art.
