New Caves in Central Vietnam Now Open to the Adventurous at Heart

For those who are in search of magnificent natural beauty and unforgettable adventure altogether, the Va and Nuoc Nut Caves in Central Vietnam are the perfect destinations. Recently opened to the public for exploration, the experience is something that will definitely last a lifetime.

Touring the two caves takes two days and one night because the way is far and in fact tiresome. It takes walking up to ten kilometres through jungle and mountain areas and wading through a river that is three kilometres long. Thus, only outdoor people and the truly adventure seekers are expected to even dare visit the place.

But the challenging journey is all worth it as one reaches the caves because he/ she will be struck by the sheer beauty and magnificence of the view. Va Cave in particular showcases breathtaking stalactites and stalagmites that are said to even surpass that of Son Doong’s.

As early as the caves were made accessible for public exploration, bookings became full right away, even several months away. But this is also the Vietnam government’s way of regulating the number of people entering the vicinity in order to maintain the natural order of things in the cave systems. Oxalis is the only licensed agency to schedule tours to both caves, as it is also the lone firm authorized to conduct tours in the other caves in Phong Nha – Ke Bang including Son Doong, Tu Lan and En caves.
