For the adventure seekers, Nha Trang Bay has something new to offer: a sports complex which features sea sports, and not just ordinary water sports, but the extreme kind.
The new attraction boasts of revolutionary rides such as the Seabreacher, a two-seater submersible watercraft which can go up to a speed of 33 kilometres per hour and 1.5 metres depth. The Flyboard is another highlight extreme ride that can lift a person 9-10 metres in the air through strong pressure applied under a board connected by a long hose to a watercraft. The Seawalker Dive enables visitors to walk on the seabed by wearing a specialized helmet. Paragliding, jet skiing and kayaking are other rides outdoor enthusiasts will surely enjoy.
With the opening of the sea sports complex, the local government hopes to improve its tourism sector and attract about 5.5 million visitors, both local and foreign, this year. The People’s Committee of Khanh Hoa Province also plans to build other tourist-enticing establishments such as entertainment and shopping centres; and yacht tours along Nha Tang Bay.
The sea sports complex opened on April 16, 2017 and is set up on Hon Tam Island in the South Central province of Khanh Hoa.
